Scott and Kristie were married on March 3, 2022, at The People's Church in East Lansing, MI. The reception took place at The Kellogg Center in East Lansing, MI. As the photographer for this wedding, I worked alone. It was a bit challenging because the ceremony started at 4:00pm, and the reception's grand entrance was scheduled for 6:00pm. This meant I had to work quickly to capture the bridal party and the bride/groom session. Luckily, I had already checked out the area beforehand, so I had an idea of some great shots that could be done efficiently. Everything went smoothly, and the rest is now part of their history. I had a wonderful time with this lovely couple and felt privileged to be part of their special day.
In capturing Scott and Kristie's wedding day, my aim was to create timeless images that truly reflect their love and joy. I wanted to capture moments that are authentic and true to life, portraying the couple just as they are. No gimmicks or alterations, just genuine beauty. This couple is down to earth, and their wedding was a reflection of their personalities. They didn't go for extravagant settings or over-the-top decorations. Instead, they focused on the people they love and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I wanted the photos to reflect this down-to-earth vibe, capturing the simplicity and intimacy of the day.
